The Raid was carried out by the Irish Republican Army: 25 March 1921: a party of men took by force a quantity of oil from Station which was used to burn out the Coastguard Station and Signal Hut.

File contains report from J. Rowlands, Commander of SS 'Ierne', of assistance rendered to SS 'Arlington Court' by towing sinking vessel into Berehaven.

Files contain letters and telegrams from L. Stocker, Principal Keeper Blackrock (Mayo); and W. E. Evans and W. H. Godkin, Assistant Keepers. Include are details of: crew of Schooner 'George & Mary' sunk by submarine arrived by small boat at Station (June 1915) ; submarine and suspicious vessel sightings ; services rendered to crew of HMS 'Paxton' who had spent 8 days in a lifeboat (May 1917) ; refund for provisions supplied to survivors of HMS 'Paxton' ; request by L. Stocker for a medal from Naval Authorities for a medal for his services to crew of HMS 'Paxton' ; Commissioners do no support claim for medal.

File contains report from T. Glanville, Principal Keeper, regarding Raid on Blacksod Lighthouse after the Irish War of Independence. The Raid was carried out by the Irish Republican Army: 15 May 1922: Station raided by party of men at 2.30 am. No damage done and nothing taken.
